Temecula Protest for George Floyd

Temecula California Protest for the death of George Floyd.

On May 25th, 2019 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, George Floyd was killed as a result of former police officer Derek Chauvin forcing his knee into the neck of George Floyd. While the officer was immediately fired, there were no arrest until four day’s later after protest and outrage. That arrest was only for one officer involved in the incident, there has been more footage discovered that shows four officers holding down a compliant George Floyd.

The outrage and disgust of law enforcement agencies has spilled over into many cities across the country, including right here in Temecula.
With all of the outrage and protesting / rioting, what will come from it?
Will this yield any results? So far it’s lead to the arrest of one officer, maybe they should just arrest the other officers as well, so that we can get back to fighting COVID-19 and not destroying our community.
The intent is not to diminish the cause or concern for the mistreatment of African Americans in the country, but we have to heal ourselves and then try to heal the country. This is just my perspective….I do agree that some protest are necessary for change. I just don’t know that the destruction of any business, helps any cause, no matter what the injustice is.
